Meet the Team

Dr. Jake grew up in Prescott, Wisconsin where he was very active in athletics. This continued at the University of Minnesota, where Dr. Jake was a four-year letter winner on the football team and also competed on the wrestling team. He graduated from the U of M in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. From there, Dr. Jake went to Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating in 2017 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Throughout his sports career, Dr. Jake had nine concussions and multiple knee injuries. Seeking chiropractic for management of his athletic injuries, Dr. Jake could clearly see the benefits of chiropractic care and the power that it holds. It was in high school that Dr. Jake began planning for a future in chiropractic care.

Dr. Jake is passionate about injury prevention and helping young athletes stay in their fields of competition. He comes to Olson Family Chiropractic with two years of experience in a wellness based, family centered practice in Inver Grove Heights. Through his experiences, Dr. Jake learned how to help his patients with more than just pain management, but also nutrition and functional mobility.

Dr. Jake was married in August of 2016. His wife, Brittany, a middle school teacher in Farmington, and their dog, Kirby, live in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. They welcomed their son, Daniel, in April of 2018. Outside of the office Dr. Jake enjoys watching Disney movies with his family, hunting, golfing, and ice fishing.

Crystal Luxmore

Crystal has over 15 years of diverse physical therapy experience, primarily in outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, and pediatric settings. Her treatment approach focuses on retraining nerves and muscles through hands-on techniques, teaching appropriate exercises, and educating her clients on why they are crucial for optimal well-being.

She practices a combination of manual therapy techniques, including craniosacral and myofascial therapy, a gentle, hands-on, non-invasive therapy technique. She has attended continuing education courses for this technique.

She also practices myofascial release techniques, another form of hands-on tissue work, to decrease pain-causing tension. Crystal is a certified Kinesio taping practitioner. Depending on how it is used, Kinesio tape can be used to encourage muscles to fire for improved strength or discourage muscle firing to calm spasms, reducing pain. The tape is non-medicated and provides support and stability to muscles and fascia, aiding in the healing process.

Crystal promotes positive outcomes through educating her patients about their impairments and anatomy, encouraging active participation in healing through a home program, and providing knowledge for prevention of future injury or dysfunction.
